Sara de Bono is a UK-based Producer working internationally across Europe and North America. With a background in First Assistant Directing, Production Management and Casting, she brings a unique combination of creative vision, production leadership and on-set expertise to every project. Alongside producing through her newly established company, De Bono Pictures, Sara continues to collaborate on selected productions as a First Assistant Director, supporting ambitious film, television and premium vertical drama productions.

Sara has produced series such as Pass the Salt for Canadian Network, and Perfect to Dead for the US figure Paul Brunson and directed by the Hollywood actress Rose Mc Gowan, both soon to be released.

She has contributed to nearly 40 productions in roles including First Assistant Director, Production Manager and Casting Director. This broad production background has given her a comprehensive understanding of every stage of filmmaking, from project development and budgeting to casting, scheduling, production logistics and delivery. It is this practical experience that now shapes her work as a producer.

Sara is currently launching De Bono Pictures, an independent production company dedicated to developing and producing in the UK and internationally focused feature films and premium vertical dramas. The company is built around international collaboration, working with production partners in different countries to create English, Spanish and bilingual productions while providing local production expertise and efficient production solutions for global projects.

She is also developing Verticals in Spain, an initiative designed to connect international studios with experienced crews, locations and production partners across Spain, making it easier to produce premium vertical dramas for the growing global market.

Sara continues to work as a First Assistant Director on selected productions. Remaining active on set allows her to stay closely connected to the practical realities of filmmaking while continuing to build strong relationships with directors, producers and crews. This hands-on experience strengthens her work as a producer and ensures every project benefits from both strategic oversight and real-world production knowledge.

Sara’s goal is to develop and produce compelling stories with international appeal, combining creative ambition with efficient production practices. Whether producing through De Bono Pictures or collaborating with other production companies, she is passionate about bringing together talented people, building lasting creative partnerships and delivering productions that resonate with audiences around the world.
